Job Description:
As a Business Development Executive for an Interior Brand, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding the brand’s market presence. You will play a pivotal role in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, establishing and nurturing client relationships, and contributing to the overall success of the brand. Your primary focus will be on generating leads, securing new projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve sales targets and revenue objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify potential clients, market trends, and competitive landscape. Analyze industry insights to identify new business opportunities, target markets, and strategies for growth.
- Lead Generation and Prospecting: Proactively identify and pursue new leads and prospects through various channels, including networking events, trade shows, referrals, online platforms, and direct outreach. Build a robust pipeline of potential clients and opportunities.
- Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, interior designers, contractors, and industry influencers. Understand client needs, preferences, and project requirements to position the brand as a trusted and preferred partner.
- Sales Presentations and Proposals: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals that effectively communicate the brand’s value proposition, unique selling points, and tailored solutions. Collaborate with the design and sales teams to create customized proposals that address client requirements.
- Negotiation and Deal Closure: Engage in negotiations with clients to secure contracts and favorable terms. Collaborate with the legal team, if required, to ensure the smooth execution of contracts and agreements. Work towards achieving sales targets and revenue objectives.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the design, marketing, and operations teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and successful project delivery. Provide feedback and market insights to internal teams to support product development, marketing strategies, and brand positioning.
- Relationship Building and Networking: Attend industry events, trade shows, conferences, and networking opportunities to build and expand professional networks. Represent the brand positively and create opportunities for collaboration and partnerships.
- Sales Reporting and Forecasting: Track and analyze sales data, prepare regular reports and provide insights to senior management. Forecast sales volumes, revenue, and market trends to contribute to strategic planning and decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Interior Design, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the interior design or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of the interior design industry, market dynamics, and industry trends.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and persuasive manner.
- Demonstrated track record of generating leads, securing new business, and achieving sales targets.
- Strong networking abilities with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and industry professionals.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.

- Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and site visits.
