Sales Manager

Job Description:

As a Sales Manager for an Interior Company, you will be responsible for leading and managing the sales team to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets. You will play a critical role in developing and implementing sales strategies, building and maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring the overall success of the sales department. Your primary focus will be on driving sales, coaching and mentoring the sales team, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement effective sales strategies, plans, and tactics to achieve sales targets and maximize revenue growth. Identify market opportunities, analyze customer needs, and align sales efforts with company goals.
  2. Team Leadership and Management: Recruit, train, motivate, and manage a high-performing sales team. Set clear performance expectations, provide ongoing coaching and feedback, conduct performance evaluations, and implement development plans to enhance the team’s skills and capabilities.
  3. Sales Target Achievement: Monitor and track sales team performance against targets, taking proactive measures to address gaps and drive results. Provide guidance and support to team members in overcoming challenges and closing deals.
  4. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, industry influencers, and partners. Engage in strategic account management, ensuring customer satisfaction, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and fostering long-term partnerships.
  5. Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Forecast sales volumes, revenues, and expenses on a regular basis. Prepare accurate sales reports and present them to senior management, highlighting key insights, trends, and areas for improvement.
  6. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment of goals and effective execution of sales strategies. Communicate sales objectives, initiatives, and results to stakeholders at various levels within the organization.
  7. Market Intelligence and Competitor Analysis: Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments. Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities, competitive threats, and potential areas for differentiation.
  8. Sales Process Optimization: Continuously review and improve the sales process, identifying opportunities for streamlining and enhancing efficiency. Implement best practices, tools, and technologies to support the sales team in achieving their targets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience). A degree in Interior Design or Architecture is a plus.
  • Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the interior design or related industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a sales team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate with clients at various levels.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Solid understanding of sales principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to drive business growth and overcome challenges.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service and building long-term relationships.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to track, manage, and report on sales activities.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet clients, attend industry events, and visit project sites.
